About

About Catholic Brothers United

Catholic Brothers United was formed in 1994 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Maryland,Lagos with the approval of Rev. Fr. Kevin McGarry( SMA ) who was the Parish Priest at that time. It was initially called Catholic Youngmen Association( CYMA) but in 2013,the Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, changed the name to Catholic Brothers United(CBU) and mandated that it should spread to all Parishes in the Archdiocese.

The main objective of the association is to provide an enabling platform for all young and old in the church to exemplify the truth of the Gospel. To discourage partisanship and divisiveness and encourage teamwork and unity for the mutual and communal benefit of members and the Church.
