Catholic Brothers United was formed to bridge the gap between the old and the young in 1994 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Maryland,Lagos with the approval of Rev. Fr. Kevin McGarry(SMA) who was the Parish Priest at that time.
It was initially called Catholic Youngmen Association( CYMA) but in 2013,the Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, changed the name to Catholic Brothers United(CBU) and mandated that it should spread to all Parishes in the Archdiocese.

Activities
Our core duty is support growth and improvement within a Christian church, both spiritually and structurally. It involves expanding the church's membership, deepening the faith and discipleship of its members, and improving its infrastructure and outreach.
